girlwatching

so my car has been in the shop for the past 4 days, which has really sucked.  i felt like a prisoner of my house.  but thankfully that is all gone.  until today, when i lost my phone.  with all my phone numbers. and ability to communicate with the outside world.

le sigh.

well i recieved some disheartening news today. I was originally planning to go to Santa Barbara for halloween like i did last year [which was easily one of the most epic weekends ive ever had].  I was originally pretty excited about it too, since last year i had to go by myself because all my friends are dickheads and bailed on me at literally the last minute.  well i said fuck them and had a bitchin time anyway.  but i digress.  i was originally excited about it because i know a grip of people who are going this year and i was planning on going with my best friend renee.  however i called her earlier to make sure it was still on before i took off work and thats when she hit me.  "no i dont want to go lets just stay here and do something with everybody." which makes sense but...I DONT WANT TO.  i see everyone all the time.  i want to go to santa barbara and party like its going out of style, but im not making that drive by myself again.  4 hours is a long time to sit in a car alone. so im pretty bummed.  im sure halloween will still be fun but it wont be a weekend that will [maybe] live on in my memory forever like last year.  itll just be another night gettin wasted with the homies but with costumes.

my art teacher wants us to keep a dream diary..of our DREAMS.  i used to remember my dreams all the time, and i dont know if it was me getting older, or me being traumatized by my crazy fucked up dreams, or mayhaps a combo of the two but whatever the case i cant pull anything out of my memory banks in the morning but the sweet view of the inside of my eyelids.  

so i did that the first day. I call it "dreamscape- a socio political commentary on the practicality of a dream diary. by rachel benbrook." to be honest its just a full page of very nicely blended charcoal. but if youre an art snob, youre gullible and if youre gullible, you should give me your money.  i dont know if my art teacher falls into that category but i figure its worth a shot.
